Qualifications : Risk of Injury

To qualify for "sport-dom" a sport must not only be physical but it must contain in it some risk of injury.

This does not mean that things that contain that risk, are automatically sports. Rock climbing and figure skating contain this risk , but they are not sports. Football, with players frequently pulled from the field on a stretcher and ambulances staged at high school football games ( just in case) clearly contains more than enough risk to justify it's sport-ness.
